HI! NICE TO MEET YOU! I’M LIZ. Let ME TELL YOU ABOUT MYSELF…

Liz Wing is a dedicated educator deeply committed to fostering inclusive and engaging environments.

Liz is a dynamic educator with dual Master’s degrees in Elementary and Special Education from Antioch University, combining rigorous academic knowledge with a profound understanding of the diverse needs of children. Her career journey began in rural Vermont, where she honed her craft, before transitioning to the vibrant classrooms of New York City. Whether teaching in inclusive settings, creating innovative summer programming, or revitalizing after-school initiatives, Liz has consistently demonstrated her ability to adapt, inspire, and elevate educational experiences for all students.

Liz’s approach to childhood is holistic, deep and full of respect. She is passionate about connecting young learners to their communities through immersive, hands-on and inclusive experiences. She designs thematic field trips and collaborates with local experts to offer opportunities such as creating radio shows at local stations, building clay cities with artists, or engaging in thought-provoking conversations with poets, puppeteers, and professors. Liz’s teaching is a blend of creativity, real-world connection, and a commitment to making learning both relevant and exciting.

A master at cultivating engagement, Liz uses humor, empathy, and her natural interpersonal skills to design activities that resonate deeply with young people, ensuring that learning feels meaningful and fun. As an advocate for social justice and anti-racism, she is deeply committed to creating equitable, inclusive spaces that empower all students to thrive.

Liz’s gift for reading dynamics and fostering personal growth in others—whether students, colleagues, or community members—has earned her a reputation as someone who is both approachable and inspiring. Her passion for education is not confined to traditional boundaries; she seeks to ignite the transformative power of learning and imagination in everyone she encounters.

When Liz isn’t ‘partying,’ you’ll find her diving into the nearest body of water—no matter the temperature. The swim’s even better if she’s hiked up a mountain to find the perfect rock for diving. At home, she loves inventing new recipes from whatever’s left in the fridge and chowing down! On a free summer day, she’s usually biking to a local farm to help sow seeds, followed by a night of card making or catching up with an old friend. In winter, she’s hitting the slopes to keep up with her friends, and most Wednesdays, she’s with her comedy collective, crafting the art of joke writing.
